Registration
Registration is easy with our online registration form via Skireg. When you have finished entering your information you will be asked to pay for your club membership online using PayPal or a credit card.

There are a limited number of spaces available in the program. If your child was in the program last year or on the wait list, you have the first opportunity to register for the program. If you choose to not take advantage of early registration, there might not be a spot available for your child, so please register early to ensure your spot!

If you have questions about registration, please contact us at berkshiretrails@gmail.com.

Costs
The Berkshire Trails BKL has both 1-day and 2-day programs available. The 2-day program is available for children age 9+.

1-Day Ski League Registration: The registration fee for our 1-day program is $80. This fee includes a membership with NENSA (New England Nordic Ski Association), which is required to participate in the Bill Koch program. (Please do not pay your own fee to NENSA as the ski league takes care of this.)

2-Day Ski League Registration: The registration fee for our 2-day program is $130. The second day will be focused on speed and technique for those skiers looking to take their skills to the next level.

The group will meet Wednesdays from 3:15pm/330pm – 5:00pm starting January 4th. There may be some weekend on-snow or dryland meeting in the month of December if weather and conditions permit.

To participate, skiers must be 8 years of age or older, be able to skate ski a 5k loop without adult assistance or supervision and be motivated to improve their skills.

*All of the Southern VT and Central VT races take place on Sunday mornings and many racers are unable to make it back to Notchview for the Sunday afternoon sessions. This Wednesday session not only provides additional coaching and mentorship in the sport but also allows the skiers to remain engaged with the BKL club while still participating in Sunday races.

The Trustees of Reservations: Each family must maintain an active membership with The Trustees of Reservations. The family membership is $70.00 per year, and you can get a new membership or renew at Notchview when you first visit. Berkshire Trails members are given a youth season pass for each skier and one adult pass per family.  If you have questions about Trustees membership, contact Thomas Miner at Notchview (tminer@thetrustees.org). The Trustees membership also entitles you to take advantage of all of the different properties that the Trustees own.

It takes a village…
Please remember the Bill Koch program is a completely parent-run, volunteer organization and every family is expected to volunteer in some capacity. In order to ensure that every child has a positive experience, we especially need more coaches, assistant coaches and parent helpers. Parent helpers are an integral part and enthusiasm is the only requirement. In addition, we need parent help with administrative tasks and waxing before our Sunday sessions. Let us know how you can help!

Here’s to a great season!
